Confirmed from Grand Avenue Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

A very quiet, peaceful, and scenic solo hike. I went on Christmas Day and I was the only person. An introvert's dream!

★★★★★ — Ken , Dec 2022

Awesome hike from Grand Avenue Park to Chino Hills Parkway (where you can access ANOTHER great trail if you're feelin froggy🐸). The tunnel underneath Grand that you go through to get started is neat, and the steep hills provide a decent challenge.

★★★★☆ — Smevin , May 2018

Discover this 3.4-mile out-and-back trail near Chino Hills, California. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 36 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, running, and walking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day.

★★★★★ — Samuel , Apr 2023

Clean trail. Not very challenging. Maybe an evening stroll. There is exercise spots on the trail a big plus. Easy 2 miles. You can see rabbits. I did see a snake non venomous. Not to worry.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
