We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Great Ledge yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Park at the small parking lot in Dayton. The entrance to the trail is across the road. Follow the white trail for a mile to the ledge.

I used to take hikes into their and there's several ledges in cliffs in there if you wander around be very very careful I mean so you don't fall off a cliff I used to go there as a teenager now I'm a senior I want to still go there again if I can get my friends to go I don't like to go there by myself in case…

Went in Oct. Beautiful colors and easy walk albeit and little rocky. Great views of reservoir.

This is an amazingly well posted detailed upkeep of white/yellow trail markers along the hiking trails; along with titled markers to with the pinchbeck trail and, the Great ledge Gerry’s trail marker to the left which leads to the south west corner of the Great Ledge!!! Enjoy 😉 💝💞❤️

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 16 mentions

“View of mostly blocked by the foliage and the sounds of cars and lawn equipment permeates the air during the day, so not exactly peaceful but somewhat pretty”
