Confirmed from Devil's Den Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful area with many options of different trails to choose from. Well shaded, but rocky and some spots muddy so wear good hiking shoes or boots!

We were traveling from PA to Boston and we’re looking for a place to stop and stretch our legs. So glad we found this great preserve! We did a short hike around the pond. The trails were well maintained and well marked. Wear sturdy shoes…there are rocks and a lot of roots along the trail next to the water.

This was such an amazing experience! I took two candles, a few chalks a knife and a cat and the very first minutes I could already feel it was going to be a great night! I didn't had to look for a secluded place at all, I just walked for a bit and I was already lost.

Amazing place for hike. Beautiful trails, which are not difficult. Some of them can be done in couple of hours. Some trails will take longer. Visited in December. It was not at all crowded. If you want to experience silence of nature - this is a great option.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
