Confirmed from Great Woods Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This large, forested natural area features multiple hiking trails with scenic views.
What runners say about Great Woods Conservation Area
“Beautiful hiking trails through the Great woods, who knew that they really had great woods?”
OhhWow!! This Woods Conservation Area is better than good, it's Great!👍 Open fields, one at the start, and more appear as you continue through! The path was a bit muddy but far worth it, especially when we got to "the spot". Remember to look up, down, and all around!
Poorly marked but nice. Walked along the golf course and wasn't sure i was supposed to be there. Wide trails, woods, fields, and wetlands. Bug spray!
Exceptional twisty trails, cute bridges, and ample parking. Best to go at least 2 hours after sunrise and 2 hours before sunset for a lower bug ratio. Loved the drive from EP to there as it was Very relaxing!
There was a moment when I was walking with my family through the woods that I felt truly transported to somewhere else. It felt like Middle Earth or somewhere in a fairytale of old. The sound of a babbling river. The warming press of the trees around us. Quiet.
