Awesome hike, make sure to have plenty water, snacks and in my case good shoes! Also, they have a limited budget so if you buy the Northwest Forest pass for a year, it costs $ 30.00 and it goes to the parks. I have one
Awesome hiking/trekking trail! I didn't see any wild animal sightings other than Canadian geese however there are beautiful sights to see during winter I recommend buying and wearing a pair of spikes when going there for to some areas having patches of both ice and snow. Otherwise just be safe and have fun!
Over the last few years, my family has hiked this a dozen times. We started when they were 7 and 5 and they had no problems. This last summer (at 10 and 8) we backpacked and camped at the lake. Today we did our deepest fall excursion so far, and it was glorious.
Enjoyed this trail . Very scenic and dogs are allowed as long as they're leashed up . There is hardly any elevation gain so this trail is good for all ages. The parking area is pretty big but can still get full on the right weekend.
