Confirmed from Greenway Trails at Bee Cave's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Greenway Trails at Bee Cave
“Fabulous if you want to feel like you're in a rugged terrain in the middle of a wilderness but is in the middle of a beautiful neighborhood.”
“Shaded in parts, dog friendly, some loose rocks but nothing by too bad.”
Hiked there today. I’m originally from the pacific north west so I have always had a lot of options for hiking trails, and Texas definitely does not. This trail was nice though- we hiked every ‘color’ to completion today and really enjoyed it.
A nice place to walk. The longest trail (going the circumference of the park) takes about 1.5 hours at a leisurely pace. There's some relief and trail is rocky but it's clean (did run into one dog pile but that seemed to be the exception) and overall Is call it a good walk.
Fantastic hiking trails. Not too difficult not too easy. Even a few little creeks to cross. Dog-friendly too.
It was a nice trail! Shaded in parts, dog friendly, some loose rocks but nothing by too bad. I was trying to go off the signs there but me and my pips got lost doing that. I’d definitely say keep your phone on you.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
