We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Mt Lakeway yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Mt Lakeway
“One of my favorites good mix of trails beautiful creek when it has water but sometimes it dries up”
Moderate trail. Rocky with lots of elevations. It doesn't have markers along the way, but google maps can help throughout.
AllTrails lists this as a moderate rated trail with the switchbacks going up and down ridges and down in canyons. The views at the end are quite nice! Definitely worth coming to in the morning hours with limited parking along the side of the road.
Great trail if you want some gradual elevation gain around Austin! Bikers also use the trail... Be sure to ring the bell at the top!
This has become my favorite place to ride my mountain bike. The huge thank you to all the trail gnomes!
