Confirmed from Gregory Park Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Gregory Park Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (70 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“It's on the perimeter of a park in a quiet residential area, so there are residential sounds, but it's still nice to be able to be among the trees on a well maintained path.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 5 mentions

“Great walking trail through some beautiful woods, right in the center of Fayetteville.”

Great bike/walking trails, nice outside loop, with a couple of more advanced downhill runs. A bike skills area and pump track round it out. Covered and uncovered picnic tables. Great little park in the heart of Fayetteville.

★★★★★ — Nick , Mar 2021

Nice little park for beginner bike riders and still fun for people who are a bit more experienced. Very convenient location right in the middle of town. It was quite muddy when I went so I couldn't go too fast on the trails, but the jumps they have would've been great if it were drier.

★★★★☆ — Raymond , Aug 2020

A centrally located pocket park in midtown Fayetteville. With a one mile, natural surface trail and two bike flow trails, this revamped public park is a great place to get out for a hike or develop your riding skills. I'll give it five stars if they ever decide to add bathrooms.

★★★★☆ — Hb , Nov 2025

A really cool set of trails with designated mountain biking paths, including natural, wood, and concrete bike paths, as well as a mixed pedestrian and biking path. It is a little steeper than I initially thought, but still a nice short 1mi hike.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
