Confirmed from Guilford Mackintosh Trailhead and Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Local park offering walking paths (including a few loops), a lake, and playgrounds.
What runners say about Guilford Mackintosh Trailhead and Trail
“Well kept trails, just did the 3 mile loop and it was totally worth it!”
“Maybe it was because it was a beautiful day in general but this park was just a nugget of peacefulness and happiness”
“It's under the shade and there are a couple beautiful stops along the bank.”
“The trails were clearly marked and, for those that might need to rest along the way, benches were available.”
“They have benches you can sit and enjoy the scenery, very peaceful and calming.”
Love going and sitting at the lake. Great trails, kids playground if you need, kept clean.
THANK YOU FOREST FAIRY! Wanted to leave a review to thank whoever left little shells and gems around. Our 2yo daughter was delighted to go look for fairies when she saw the house and then static to find all the treasures. She thought it was so fun and said to leave some for the fairies.
This has been my go-to place for many years for a scenic, moderately challenging 3-mile hike. The variety of plant and animal species encountered along the trail has declined over the years but the view of the lake and the shade still make it a great place to get outdoor exercise.
Took my grandma to see the lake and walk along the trails. It was beautiful but calming. You got to see the sun rise in front of the lake view. They have benches you can sit and enjoy the scenery, very peaceful and calming. They have a playground, volleyball court, picnic tables with grills all along the lake.
