Confirmed from Haines Memorial State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

It's a perfect place to park if you want quick and safe access to the amazing East Bay Bike Path! From the parking lot you can head south and enjoy a 10 mile ride to Colt St Park. Or you can head north and go 5 miles to East Providence, with great views of Providence.

Best place to launch a boat in the Providence area. Plus they have a picnic area in a place to walk the dogs. Nice view of the water. It's also another great place to people-watch there in the summertime.

★★★★★ — Melissa , May 2018

Its an awesome park! I love walking there its beautiful! Plus its not that far from where i live. So only walk in total 2 miles one to the park and one mile back home. 5 stars definitely

Haines Memorial State Park in Barrington, RI, is a really nice spot if you're looking for a place to relax outdoors. The park has a mix of everything—open fields, wooded areas, and even spots by the water. It’s perfect for a picnic or just hanging out with family and friends.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 16 mentions

“We love taking our dog to this park because there's a great dog area for her to socialize with other dogs and people.”

“One thing to note is that the bathrooms are basic—just porta potties—and they aren’t always the cleanest, so keep that in mind if you’re planning a long stay.”
