Osamequin is a beautiful little spot right along the Wampanoag Trail in Barrington. It is flat, the trails are well marked and there are many nice little benches set up in very good locations to sit and enjoy views of 100 Acre Cove. There are very nice views of the salt marshes.
Shhhh... this is a beautiful peaceful place. Walk or sit and listen to the birds sing as they fly by. Small wooded loops... PROs 1) hardly saw another person. 2) felt right among nature... salt water edge and light field and forest. 3) did see bunnies, an Osprey, lots of birds, and 2 deer!
- Several trails, I did a 2 mile loop - Marsh and meadows with boardwalks and trails - Great for birdwatching! Theres also tons of little crabs off shore in the marsh - Free parking alongside the main road - No bathrooms - Lots of bugs and ticks
Located on the Wampanaog Trail in Barrington, this Nature Sanctuary offers easy color coded hiking trails along the west shore of Barrington River's 100 Acre Cove. Dogs are allowed on a leash.
