Hal Scott is a very special place. The area is mostly pine flatwoods that are well managed with frequent burns, so out on the trails you can see around you for miles and miles. The white trail has lots of native Florida wildflowers you don't see too often and lots of buzzing pollinators that come with them.
Great trail for an easy hike with our dog. Went very early so we were able to have her off leash and she had the best time! Not a lot of shade so come prepared. Also, no facilities. Will come back with our bikes and combine all 3 trails.
Okay. Here’s the deal. This place looks magical. Like, I walk around here for a couple hours and all my troubles fade away with the cool breeze (early in the morning..in the winter months) but be warned. There are diamond back rattle snakes looking to warm up popping out of the brush where you just stepped moments ago.
Great park that is free. Not very busy when we went. There are three different trail heads to explore. All flat, wide trails with no shade so I can imagine how it would be during the summer mths.
