Confirmed from Hallmark Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Hallmark Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (103 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“The main attraction is the cross country track / park directly behind it, which offers a beautiful hike and a gorgeous view of the crystal springs reservoir.”

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“Nice walk and great views! A lot of people running around the area, very calm and natural.”

Really nice, large piece of land that's excellent for walking and running. Please note, you cannot bicycle or bring your dog here. There are porter-potties and a water station. They've got good wildlife as well. My wife and I saw deer and jackrabbits. Also, be careful of the rattle snakes.

Nice walk and great views! A lot of people running around the area, very calm and natural. Bear in mind that you cannot take your dog or bike in the track area.

★★★★★ — Vera , May 2021

It's a nice park with lots of ways to make your hike long or short. There substatial elevation gains in very short distances and in similar style descents. The trail can get very muddy if it rained in the past few days.

★★★★☆ — Exige , Apr 2019

Pickleball/tennis courts quite nice, look new, but it's pretty out of the way and almost impossible to get reservations at a convenient time. The playground is OK but nothing to write home about and there's no bathrooms. Haven't tried the hiking trail. I see people walking their dogs here sometimes.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadwater — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
