Confirmed from Hanna Road Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic trail for hiking to the top of the mountain, known locally as Casa Grande Mountain.
What runners say about Hanna Road Trailhead
“From there, the hike from peak to peak along the trail that follows the entire mountain crest (about 2 miles along the top) is beautiful.”
There are two trails available from this trailhead, the concrete path up to the towers and one that splits off that path before the concrete begins, the Bolt Trail. Both are relativity steep and will get your heart rate up. They both join up again just uphill of the towers.
You can hike either the service road or the Burr Trail to the top. From there, the hike from peak to peak along the trail that follows the entire mountain crest (about 2 miles along the top) is beautiful.
Wow what an amazing hike for my kids and myself. Its alot steeper than it appears going up to the radio towers. Gets steep once you hit the concrete. The views are amazing and we caught a gorgeous sunset coming back down. I highly recommend this hike
Nice quick trail. Mostly paved, but quite steep. Excellent workout with nice views. Beautiful paintings along the way.
