Confirmed from Harris Whalen Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This is a very nice park. The walking trails are wide and accessible, varied and rambling. It's not 5 miles of trails but it's a superbly enjoyable walk with enough options and scenery to be refreshing on each visit. The hillside has been a sledding favorite in the area for generations.

It’s a nice local park with open fields, basketball/tennis courts and some nature trails. I often find myself here walking the peaceful nature trails.

★★★★☆ — Broden , Jun 2024

It's ok not a lot to do but it has a pavilion, picnic tables play area and hiking trails. It's ok.

★★★★☆ — Ron , Sep 2020

Great and local park to walk through. There is at the top of the hill a trail going through the woods. I've seen a number of people enjoying walking their dog (on a leash). And a pavilion for picnics. One of my favorite places to walk to

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
