Confirmed from Channing H. Philbrick Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Channing H. Philbrick Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (810 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 18 mentions

“The waterfalls are stunning, and the flowing water through the forest creates a perfect setting, rich with diverse birds and trees.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 4 mentions

“I'm sure more crowded on weekends, but, a nice quiet space during the week days.”

👟 good for all levels 3 mentions

“Super easy walk, boardwalks made me feel like I was drunk lol This was an easy hike (using the word hike very loosely as there was no effort at all).”

Very cool linear park. Upper and lower sections both offer different pleasures; lots of parking; the trails are out and back with many options to be closer or further away from the creek; a bit hard to find the entrance and great care should be taken turning into and out of the entrance because of the characteristics…

It was absolutely gorgeous, we had so much fun. My two nieces, sister-in-law, and I went on a nature walk and it was excellent 👌👍. The most beautiful place I've been in a long time. It was a glorious day, too. Not too hot, not too humid, not too many bugs. I'll add some pictures.

A hidden gem, for sure! Was looking for a place to take grandkids fishing. Never knew this place existed until I googled nearby places to fish with kids. Plenty of gorgeous hiking trails. Great fishing- the kids caught quite a few fish. Picnic areas are pristine.

Park is always nice and clean, even the bathrooms. But it was pretty crowded on a weekend. For quiet nature time, this park is probably better on the weekdays. The water was flowing a lot harder than usual cause of all the rain, but still fun and refreshing on a super hot day.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
