Confirmed from Hathaway Preserve At Ross Run - ACRES Land Trust's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Secluded gorge featuring waterfalls, mature oaks, streams and hiking trails.
What runners say about Hathaway Preserve At Ross Run - ACRES Land Trust
“Well maintained trails and several great spots to photograph the falls.”
“Beautiful place but was completely dry when we went in august due to low rainfall.”
“Just beautiful with a peaceful, easy feeling!”
We loved this nature preserve. We enjoyed our walk along the beautiful creek.
Such a lovely place! I can’t wait to come back get with my kids. The trail is awesome - lots of varying scenery, in and out of the woods, mostly shaded. One of the biggest oak trees I’ve ever seen, too! The rock-cut stream was really interesting.
Great place to hike and lots of variety in a compact spot. From small waterfalls, slate creek beds, decent cliff edges, pine and a nice treehouse tree make sure to walk the outer path. We’ll take care of and not overly busy. Tranquil and peaceful during the week. Great all times of year for the variety of the seasons!
One of the best ACRES properties! We went during a dry spell, which was great to be able to walk down the middle of the creek for a long way on surprisingly unslippery rock shelves.
