Confirmed from Hawk Meadow Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

well-maintained 7 mentions

“If it's a quiet well maintained wooded trail with both gravel and paved trails wide enough for runners walkers, and bikes, this is the place.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“It’s beautiful in the fall- the sunlight is so perfect and the leaves are precious.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

This place is so peaceful, I'm glad that I found this trail. There seems to be some kind of wildlife always around which is awesome. Paved and unpaved trails. Unpaved trails aren't rough though, I was able to push a cheap umbrella stroller through them.

Nice mostly paved walk around a field and down towards a pond. The bridge connects to wooded hiking trails. Lots of deer and wildlife. Benches are scattered through the park.

★★★★★ — Adam , Aug 2023

Beautiful community park in convenient semi-rural location. Well-maintained trails with maps, directional posts, and benches placed throughout. Dogs are permitted and everyone obeys the rule that all dogs must be leashed. No crowds, but enough use to ensure that people feel safe. Free parking.

I love going here with the family. Pretty secluded. Well maintained and kept clean. A few paved Loop Trails but then some grass trails that come off of those. Pretty scenery. Not too busy. My daughter loves to bring her scooter out here

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“My absolute favorite park in Lansing ♡ it's got an easy to walk asphalt trail for baby buggies and bikes and it has a couple miles of easy 'backtrails' for slightly more adventure.”
