We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Haynes Creek Preserve yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Haynes Creek Preserve
“Nice little walking pads very peaceful decent fishing great place to walk the dog nice scenery of the river and very well cleared as all sand”
Its a gorgeous trail, I just went here for the first time yesterday and I couldn't stop getting pictures, so many beautiful areas and the walk along the river looks like its from a fairy garden.
Park and walk across a little bridge to access the hiking trail. You can go left or right, it's out and back either way you go. To the left is the shorter route and it ends at an open area with a good view of Haines Creek. To the right is a longer walk that dead ends in the swamp.
Very peaceful. Nice trail over bridge and to an island on Haines creek
Nice, quiet walk. Wanted to watch the sunset over the water, but no good spots to do so at this particular park. No benches at either end, only at the entrance. The path to the left has a large enough area to take a blanket or chair to sit by the water at the end.
