Confirmed from Headwaters Trailhead 1 toilet's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Headwaters Trailhead 1 toilet
Great hike, look for the tree with "CB2" this is the headwaters trail marking.
Long, well-maintained trail with lots of branching trails. Great for mountain bikers, but also good for hikers. Parking is off side of the road-- follow the dirt road up for about quarter mile until you see the gate and that's where the trail starts. There's a port potty at the trailhead which is regularly cleaned.
Very easy to drive to with any car. Good amount of other people around. The trail took us 2 hours and 30 minutes. Definatly will be doing it again. It was very well taken care of too. Only animals we saw were chipmunks and 1 small snake.
The headwaters trail is a really fun place to go and get lost while also knowing you'll be able to find your way back. The trails are pretty already marked and there's a bunch. I believe there's a map available online if you look it up which shows you all the trails. We take our dog and she loves it.

The practical stuff
- AccessHours vary — hours are not posted for this trail, so check before an early or late run
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
