Confirmed from Virgil Phillips Farm Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public space featuring a picnic area, plus multiple hiking trails of varying lengths.
What runners say about Virgil Phillips Farm Park
“Beautiful nature trails with the occasional fascinating exhibit make this place a truly valuable asset to the Moscow area.”
Great park for walkers and nature watchers with a pleasant, approx. mile long, rolling loop trail. Occasional park events are family-friendly and educational. Best from spring through fall but open year round.
Love, love, love this place! The main trail goes around the hill, but there few additions to it. If you have a dog, this place is perfect.
Great place for easy to intermediate hiking! Has a variety of loop trails, including a couple for bikes, but most trails are hiking only. The longest one is 1.3 miles, which loops around almost the entire park. There are also a lot of fruit baring trees that you can get a snack from in late summer/early fall.
Wonderful location for the entire family! Great trails, and nice areas for picnics and weddings.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
