Confirmed from Heatherbrook Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Compact green space featuring picnic tables, a playground, a pond and a pavilion with a barbecue grill.
What runners say about Heatherbrook Park
“The facility was well maintained, as most st Charles parks are.”
“Nestled in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood on the edge of town, this park overlooks a scenic trail, large open field, and pond.”
I visited this park for the sole purpose of hiking AllTrails Heatherbrook and Webster Park Trail. The trail connects the two parks, Heatherbrook and Webster, which I don't really see the point of beyond providing a decent, shady walk through the woods.
Nice little park. It is adjacent to Webster park. You can walk from one to the other via a gravel trail. Some of the pictures posted in other reviews are for Webster park (not Heatherbrook). The play ground is on the smaller size.
Great Park. Public bathrooms that are clean and much appreciated. I hope they stay that way. Some pretty cool trails. Open field with small playground.
This is a VERY local park. If you don't live close to this one, you should probably skip it. Every part of it is pictured in my videos. But for the people that live right next to it, this is likely a tremendous blessing.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceCrushed gravel — the rail-trail classic: softer than asphalt, still smooth enough for tempo work
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
