Confirmed from Heatherwood Bike Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Mountain biking park featuring a pump track and trails for beginners and intermediate-level riders.
What runners say about Heatherwood Bike Park
What an incredibly well-designed trail and bike park! This is great for all ages and skill levels. This is something to check out if you're an avid mountain biker or just want to enjoy some beautiful Ephrata woods. Conveniently located right next to the Ephrata Rail Trail as well...
Solid little pump track with some nicely shaped tabletops and berm. Also some singletrack trails that are nicely graded and maintained. Pretty smooth and float in most places. Some jumps on the trails and a wooden bridge, as well as some wood slat skinnies in a mini skills park area.
Really short actual trails, but they do offer some really fun twists and turns. Not a lot of rocks on the trail which is rare for around here. Best part by far was how there were different sections to practice different skills on.
My kids really enjoy this park. There are some small hills perfect for my two-year-old and some larger ones for my five-year-old. And then if you're really good you can obviously do jumps. There is no playground and no restrooms. And it's not really a place for a picnic.
Trail conditions & character
“The 3 different skills areas (beginner, intermediate and expert) are appropriate to each ability level.”
“Also some singletrack trails that are nicely graded and maintained.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
