Confirmed from Heesakker Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking trails feature at this community park with fishing, sport courts & winter ice skating.

It’s a nice place to walk. Lots of tame wildlife in the park. They are doing construction in the park now on part of the trail. I didn’t get to go across the bridge, but I have in the past. It’s very user friendly and nice place to spend some time.
I love this park! I come here primarily to hike and walk the trails with my dog. Nice hiking trails in the woods for anyone in the Fox Cities area who wants to be in nature, but not drive far to get there. Some of the trails in the woods do have gravel, inclines, and stairs.
Best part about this park is the location. Access to playground, large field, pavilion, hiking, and kayaking all close by. Trails connect Heesakker to Island Park and Kaukauna with great views of the Fox River.
This is such a nice park, tucked away by the river in Little Chute. There are many trails for biking and walking. On any given day you may be welcomed by some of the local deer, and you can get fairly close to see them.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
