Confirmed from Henderson Park Waterfall's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Henderson Park Waterfall
Beautiful park and waterfall. Not the longest hike but still up and down hill a good walk especially if you are carrying anything
Fun hike from either the lake or the shorter walk from Lake Erin Drive, and Donegal Ct. There is a path with a yellow gate just to the right of the culvert under Lake Erin Drive. From the lake, follow the red path running next to the stream feeding the lake.
The park is amazing in the middle of the city. There is no big waterfall, there is a stream running that fills the lake. The overflowing water from the lake has been left out through a small pipe which seems like a man made waterfall. I saw rain water from the roads making this water stream. The trail is good.
This is a very nice, clean park, however, they waterfall was dried up as well as the streams. It appears there is construction at the far end of the park causing the draught. There were several dog walkers, bikers, joggers and hikers. Clearly a popular park for being out in nature.

“The trails, while marked, have many roots and the trail arrows were a bit confusing.”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
