Confirmed from Heritage Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

“Nicely maintained park with a paved walking path around it.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“A quiet place to walk and see a beautiful old grist mill and a lake.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“This park is great for just one of those layed back and just wanted to be in a peaceful place type of days.”

Open, passive park with no athletic fields. A 3/4 mile long paved path circles the whole park. Trails run through the woods along the sides of the park. There are also numerous picnic tables, benches and dog bag stations throughout the park.

Wonderful park in Allentown! The loops are a little less than a mile and make it easy to get your steps in. Also great for walking your dog!

Heritage Park is a truly beautiful spot. The park itself is lovely, and the surrounding town is perfect for a leisurely walk. The scenery is stunning, especially at sunset, which can be enjoyed from almost anywhere in the area. A great place to relax and take in the natural beauty. Highly recommended!

A little gem. It looks like a boring unshaded municipal park at first glance but the trails that run along the official paves path run through wooded flower beds and streams. It's a great place to spend a spring afternoon. Plenty of benches though only a few picnic tables.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
