Confirmed from Heritage Park Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Beautiful park, lots of room to walk on paths. It is wheelchair accessible. There are fountains, ducks, turtles, catch and release fishing.

Beautiful park with several well maintained routes with new sidewalks to follow, bridges to cross, fountains to watch. This park is off the beaten path so not as frequented and is a very pleasant space to enjoy a break from the fast paced life this city offers.

Such a pretty park with plenty of route options and elevation changes. I like that there are rarely bike riders to watch out for, but lots of families, joggers, people fishing or walking dogs and just enjoying the day. The ducks are an added bonus!

Five star because, this is the best design I have ever seen for a drainage ditch I have ever seen. Just like a park. The kid's love coming here. Fun for a morning or an afternoon jog.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
