Confirmed from Herndon Caboose Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Herndon Caboose Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (21 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

The Caboose Park is a tiny area with benches, shade trees, and a full-sized caboose right next to the Herndon Municipal Building. Calling it a park is a bit of a stretch, but it's still a cool spot.

Spent day in this neighborhood with my toddler and absolutely loved it. Best place for the people who love to ride bikes. Nuce trails and very friendly atmosphere ☀️ My toddler also loved long walks to the “parke” ❣️

Get place to start a walk or ride. Can get crowded at peak times. Definitely stay to your right as much as possible. Bikes can be passing at high speeds.

Very nice place to visit with your toddler or as in my case, my 5 year old who was delighted to see the original caboose preserved right off the trail.
