Confirmed from Herron Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Casual outdoor destination offering hiking and mountain-biking trails, plus horseback riding.
What runners say about Herron Park
“The views are spectacular and breath taking, and the park is very well maintained.”
“Beautiful scenery, clearly marked trails.”
“The parkv was very well laid out and trails super well marked.”
I live about 4 miles from this park. It's what I have come to adore about Montana in general...nature is a hop, skip and a jump away. The Notch Trail is a novice trail that offers a real hiker's reward at the end. The views are spectacular and breath taking, and the park is very well maintained.
The parkv was very well laid out and trails super well marked. Herron park has a little bit for everyone, the family trail was nice and easy for the kids. We saw lots of mountain bikers and hikers if all levels. Several of the adjacent properties are private but allowed non-motorized exploration on marked trails.
Great trails. Watch for ticks 😱 I love that dogs are required to be on leash. My dog is reactive, so it's reassuring knowing that other dogs will be on leash.
Great public park for horses, bikes and hikers. Wonderful views from the top. Excellent area to work horses
