Docks have loose deck boards and lots of weeds. Nice grass area, play place, grill and table to enjoy a nice day with the family just off the highway. Gravel parking lot.
A local mentioned that the park used to service as a ferry dock that crossed all the way to Lake Michigan. There is evidence of a concrete dock, retaining walls, and more but most have begun to breakdown. Its a wonderful spot if you can ignore the roadside noise.
It's a nice little park. Fishing and open area. Dogs are allowed. I let Phatz run free. Took a nap, and didn't have to worry about nothing. They have a small memorial site at the entrance to the park.
A peaceful lil park along the highway, they have a lake you can fish in as well as hiking trails. A small playground for the children to play on. I do have to say the grass was so soft to walk on.
