Confirmed from Hidden Falls Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic warren of trails for hiking, biking & horseback riding amid foothills & waterfalls.
What runners say about Hidden Falls Regional Park
“Gorgeous, fun hike that didn't feel like I was in the car forever just to get there.”
Was a great little gem hidden for sure . The ride to get there from the highway is very pretty- lots of curves- fun drive. Take LOTS OF WATER! & use bathroom at the parking lot! once your on the trail there is not any water stations or bathrooms. I will say it was a harder hike than the reviews.
5/31/25 they are way too strict about online parking booking especially on weekend or holidays otherwise they don’t let you in. Attention: on warm days you need more than half gallon drinking water. THERE IS NO TAB OR WATER FOUNTAIN IN THE WHOLE TRAIL, only at parking lot.
Thankfully, it wasn't too hot When we came. I would say my only complaint is the amount of poison Oak, but the trails were very well maintained and easy to use, and the rest stops along the trails were very nice. Plenty of plenty of parking, even though we got a day pass.
Always a fun hike ,lots of trail ,great for solo and partner hiking ,as well as biking and trekking , bring lots of water, and make sure to grab a map. Weekends there is a parking fee so you may need reservations, always double check, hiked about 10 miles this last thursday

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
