Confirmed from Hidden Pond Woods-East's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hidden Pond Woods-East
“Great part of my almost daily dog walk.”
Excellent little forest preserve area. I noticed someone above saying, "there's nothing there. Just a small circle you drive around." That is the WEST Hidden Pond area that you enter off of Lagrange Rd. Don't confuse the two.
Place where you can go to get away from the buildings and the traffic and the people and the people that are out there are real nice and it's nice they're walking their dogs or whatever they're walking but it's nice nobody's unfriendly
The trails were perfectly adequate for hiking. There were a lot of horse droppings, but it was to be expected of a horse trail. We hiked for about 2 hours. There were pretty plants along the way. I was a bit disappointed that people had thrown towels, shirts, masks, and bottles along the way.
Nice little area with a small pond. Great part of my almost daily dog walk.
Trail conditions & character
“Very nice but no porta potty or garbage cans which is weird”

- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
