Confirmed from Hidden Pond Woods' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring woods, trails, horse riding, deer and a pond.
What runners say about Hidden Pond Woods
“The entrance is easy to miss; its literally hidden 😅 However, aside from that it is a beautiful semi secluded little hidden gem.”
“Lots of tall beautiful trees🌳🌳🌳 and tranquility ☺️ - perfect for a quiet and romantic picnic 🥰😉 bonus!”
Nice to get into nature it has a pretty pond and gently rolling wooded hills. Coyotes and deer are often seen as well as the occasional fox
I highly love this place. Beautiful abundant trees left and right. It can get pretty busy this time of year so even though there are alot of different parking lots around to choose from at different preserves, it can get pretty crowded. The paths are gravel like and medium difficulty terrain.
Very nice, small but very nice. Deer just walk around and do not get spooked by people. If you are visiting in or after the rain, wear good shoes, it's muddy.
A beautiful trail close to my house to walk the dog. It connects to a few other trails so it is easy to knock out a 3 mile run.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
