Confirmed from Hidden Valley Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Hidden Valley Park
“Beautiful and quiet place to go for a peaceful walk.”
“Beautiful and quiet place to go for a peaceful walk.”
Very nice quiet park with it seems 2-3 main trails. The left leads to a small pond and then beings to get grassy so we turned around. The other trail to the right was very long and shaded and enjoyable. The trail is rail rock not a smooth paved pathway and there are some moderate inclines about 1.5 miles in.
Beautiful and quiet place! This place is awesome if you want to escape from people for a bit. There’s never been more than 5 cars in the lot when I go. Variety of places to walk ranging from asphalt trail, gravel, dirt, and grass. Great year round.
Great place to walk a dog. Saw a coyote there three years ago, two foxes today.
Good place to start your hike on Randolph trails, hidden valley marks the start of the white trail which ends about 6 miles away on combs hollow road. Hidden valley also gives you access to the blue trail, which starts at beaver dam road and ends at heistein park, a total distance of 7.3 miles.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
