Confirmed from Highland Park Entry Garden's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Scenic

Neighborhood park with a restored entry garden and a playground, plus walking trails.

“Straight up the staircase is the Reservoir a great place to walk or jog and enjoy the view.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

Kinda wish there was a sign before going up the stairs that you can't walk your dog around the ring, kinda wild you can get fined for something you won't even notice unless you're specifically looking for a sign. Otherwise it's a super cute park, just wish we could actually enjoy all of it

Highland Park Entry Garden is so well maintained! It is a great, open space with lovely trails nearby. Definitely a beautiful spot to visit in the summer when the fountain is on and the flowers are blooming!

★★★★★ — Jenna , Jun 2021

The photos show that Highland Park Entry Garden is a beautiful location for graduation portraits, family photos, and formal outdoor photography. The greenery, flowers, stonework, and open natural light made it a great backdrop for capturing a special moment for two Penn Hills High School graduates.

★★★★☆ — Precision , Jun 2026

This is a beautiful entrance way to a park with many wonderful features. The fountain is huge vibrant and a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the garden plants and flowers. It’s always a pleasure to watch parents and toddlers play in the open spaces around the fountain.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
