Confirmed from Highland Station Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Highland Station Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (163 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 6 mentions

“It was relatively clean for a dog park.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“The water fountain in the center is perfect for the dogs, although I wish there were more trees or canopies for shade.”

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“My dogs love running around the large enclosure and meeting other pups.”

One of the biggest we've been to!! Lots of running space for my golden. There's a few obstacles courses to try, a drinking fountain for the dogs and bags for your pups gift they leave. Lots of grass, not too much mud.

★★★★★ — Teresa , Apr 2019

The dog park is big and looks nice. But I was actually there for the skatepark. Google asked me to review the dog park, presumably because the skatepark is not listed on the map - but it's right there near the dog park.

Nice dog park that's conveniently located in the neighborhood. My dogs love running around the large enclosure and meeting other pups. The water fountain in the center is perfect for the dogs, although I wish there were more trees or canopies for shade. Otherwise great park with nice walking trails that extend past it.

Super Clean!!! This is a very nice space. The water fountain works. I like that it is actually grass instead of turf. Turf can become dangerously hot in the summer. Just enough shade. We really enjoyed it.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
