Confirmed from Northwest Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Northwest Community Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (268 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“With its wide variety of landscape as well as a beautiful stonewall, it is also dog friendly!”

Great park for biking and walking, just make sure you watch for others there, some corners can be blind at high speeds. I'm not an angler but it looks like the fishing would be good. It would be. Ice if they added a play ground, there is lots of space to do so that is unused and nothing is growing on.

Great place to go for a walk, explore the quant waterfall, and great dock for fishing. Very clean and well taken care of. Easy access to dock, nice free parking, and paved paths to travel around on.

★★★★★ — Angie , Apr 2020

Nice small hike behind the ball fields. Better than expected. Came across the waterfall and water fowl.

★★★★☆ — Mike , May 2025

I've been coming here for years and it makes good fishing for bluegill, crappie, sunfish, and panfish right off the dock. Cast lower and that's easy catfish. Cast further and I've caught some bass. I love fishing here and it's nice and quiet, plus some picnic tables for the family.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
