Confirmed from Hill Country Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Nice set of trails that run north to Eisenhower Park and south to Fox Park. The main trail is paved and perfect for biking, walking, and running. This main trail also has many smaller side trails for mountain biking and hiking.

The Hill Country Trailhead is a nice point to access Leon Creek Greenway. It’s hidden behind the Hill Country Place Apartments but is easily accessed from the parking lot. Hopefully one day the City of San Antonio will construct a public parking lot off of UTSA Blvd to access the trails.

Awesome, it's a place where I go to relieve stress , and enjoy the outdoors. It would be nice if the people would pay attention to the signs along the trail. Which say: pass on the left stay to the right. Share the trail be courteous.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
