Confirmed from Leon Creek Greenway Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Leon Creek Greenway Trailhead
“But, regardless, this is a great place to go for a walk, a run, or a ride.”
Always an amazing experience. The path is wide and swerves through northern San Antonio nicely. The only real complaint would be the cyclists: they think pedestrians are to yield to them when, in fact, they're supposed to yield. But, regardless, this is a great place to go for a walk, a run, or a ride.
Walk, jog, or ride your bike on the paved trails. The City does a great job of maintaining the sidewalks. Plenty of trail heads with free parking and other facilities.
This Greenway is awesome. The trails go for miles and miles, and they are nicely paved. All along the the paved trails are outlets to the off road trails which are great for mountain biking. There are groups that go out and clear brush, debris, and just keep the trails in awesome shape.
This park has it all. Concrete trails for walking, jogging and bike riding. Parallel to the path are natural trails for mountain biking and hiking. Great place to see deer, birds and butterflys as well. Trail goes from Ingram to Utsa.
Trail conditions & character
“Beautiful views and smooth paths if you don't want to ride the off-road trails.”
“Heavily used so parking and sharing the walk way with over zealous bikers can be a challenge at times.”
“Right in my own backyard and I'm a little disappointed that I never took advantage of this beautiful trail!”
“The big hill at the start of this trailhead is a killer coming back.”
