Confirmed from Hillendale Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

👟 good for all levels 4 mentions

“They provide opportunities for all levels of play and tutors for beginners.”

It’s a great park to go to, as well as walk around and take pictures. (I highly recommend bringing a camera to this amazing place.) However, there’s one thing I found puzzling; the bathroom stalls didn’t have any doors, and there wasn’t any soap when I went to wash my hands either.

Great place to walk, play with kids, or just sit and relax while you watch the ducks walk around.

★★★★★ — Rich , Jun 2023

This park is great, well maintained, and in a lovely, quiet part of Oregon City. The three different play structures are older but in decent shape. Plenty of space to run in the big grassy field. Lots of benches and tables, and a covered picnic area.

My little niece and I love to come here and see the ducks. It has a wonderful trail walk around the park with a lot of duckies and squirrels to feed and befriend. She absolutely loves how there is two different parks! The bathrooms with running water also comes in handy!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 8 mentions

“Beautiful, open, dogs on leash only, they have bags, bathrooms, open field, bbq, picnic area (covered), benches, a path, baseball field, sand volleyball and much more!”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
