Confirmed from Hilltop Conservation Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Breathtaking views of the ocean and surrounding coastline from trails on this hilltop park.
What runners say about Hilltop Conservation Park
“Great views of the surrounding area and even the islands off the coast, on a clear day.”
A very short walk with spectacular views of Dana Point Harbor and beaches south. It's a view of forever.
They took away the parking on the ocean side due to an endangered bird. Stay on the path or get a major ticket. Due to endangered species. This bird only lives right there.
Great views of the surrounding area and even the islands off the coast, on a clear day. The trail is separated from the surrounding park area which means that you can end up seeing a lot more wildlife than a typical park. In a short 10 minute walk I saw a rabbit and multiple small birds right by the trail.
First time at this trail super short but the view is amazing almost a full 360 view of the beach around you. Once your done with the trail it leads you to some other awesome spots of the beach.
