Confirmed from Hinesburg Town Forest's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Hinesburg Town Forest

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (59 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

“They are well maintained and perfectly marked making it easy to navigate.”

This train system is great. Lots of good hikes. A lil muddy but it's mid april. Def want to come back mid summer and see if in full bloom. This was a fun hike with the wife and dachshund. He traveled all the way down maiden to resting rock...

Beautifully maintained trails and great variety. The sign at parking lot gives great suggestions for mileage and skill level. If you walk with dogs there make sure your dogs are leashed or good listeners as to not get in the way of bikes around.

Beautiful woods to hike or cross country ski in. We did a 3 hour hike today through snow. Views of Camels Hump, Bolton and Mansfield.

Enjoyed the trails, fresh powder snow shoeing. They were not packed down like a super highway. Not sure if it's because it's a hidden gem or I just got lucky. From what I saw it looks like it's a great place to mtn. bike as well. This is a place I will return to on another day, more trails, more seasons.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🌲 Natural surface / singletrack 6 mentions

“Technical with nice long climbs and equally nice long descents, HTF is a great place for a two hour mini-epic.”
