Confirmed from Hoffman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Enjoyed a nice evening walk here and was pleased to see that there were clean basketball and tennis courts, as well as plenty of benches to take in the scenery. Was pleasantly surprised to find Bonnie's and the Sugar Shack in the mix as well. I'll be back!

I liked Hoffman Park. It was scenic and peaceful. I walked along Darby Creek. From there I rode my bike throughout Lansdowne and the area.

Park is really big not to much for kids to do but great for fishing walking .Darby creek runs right along side of the fields ,has huge gazebo good for barbecue not sure if permission is needed, but I have seen events at the gazebo b4.quiet place to sit and think read a book or just enjoy the scenery.

It’s very nice, people will have, events at the pavilion, there’s a couple basket ball courts, tennis courts the playground and a nice little pathway that leads behind the baseball field where you can walk along side the creek and no it’s NOT all rocks. and trust me the ducks love attention when they’re there

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

Plan your run at Hoffman Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
