Confirmed from Hogback Mountain Conservation Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Nature preserve featuring hiking trails and scenic views, plus a museum.
What runners say about Hogback Mountain Conservation Area
“Our GPS did not pinpoint the correct spot but this is a beautiful overlook at the top of the hill.”
Amazing view. A short hike up Hogback Mt. Is a fire tower that has an exceptional 360° view. Nice Vermont food and trinkets in the "Hogback gift shop". If there's time, the natural history museum on site is very interesting and informative.
Beautiful place for a hike. Loose rock and some places a little steep but a great hike, complete with a babbling brook. Good place to take kids… the lower part. Brook would be on the left. Nice and shady. Dogs love it.
The trail to the Mt. Olga Fire Towner were well maintained (given the recent summer rains) and I appreciated the informational signs on the flora and fauna. Great place to hike for some fantastic views.
Our GPS did not pinpoint the correct spot but this is a beautiful overlook at the top of the hill. Great spot for the sunrise (sun sets on the wrong side, semi visible on the other side of the road but not nearly as good).
