Confirmed from Homer Lake Forest Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

Amazing forest preserve in Champaign County with a lake, hike trails, picnic areas, natural playscape, nature center, and occasional nature classes and programming. Lovely spot to hang out and hike in any season. They also have kayaks for rent in the summer and a new kayak loading area for people with disabilities.
Great little nature preserve. A couple of shorter trails and a great play-scape for kids. Park at the first parking area just to the right when you enter, and take the trail that’s straight across the road. It’s a short walk through a nice wooded stretch, which then leads to the lake and play scape area.
It's an amazing place. Very nice hiking trails. I would recommend enjoying the sunset there. We have seen lots of people fishing at the lake. This forest preserve is worth exploring.
