Confirmed from Homestead Air Reserve Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This park featuring paintball fields offers gear & group packages for adults & kids ages 8 & older.
What runners say about Homestead Air Reserve Park
“Such a peaceful park with beautiful banyan trees that you can climb and give you a nice shade”

Great for exercise and walking your pets. But there is the occasional bum. Not a big deal they mostly want to be alone and at peace because that's the type of park it is. It's not the kind of place you host a party more for just some fresh air, peace, and quiet.
Great spot for a day out! The playground is fun for kids, with slides and climbing stuff—perfect for families. Dogs are welcome on-leash, and the open fields are nice for a quick walk. Picnic areas with tables and some shade make for a good lunch spot—bring your own food.
Not your typical Park you go to to hang out with your kids. But if you're willing to go play soccer there expect a large amount of space. Also there is an area where indoor soccer is played. You'll pay about $80 in order to play only for one hour. I recommend going in the nighttime.
This place may not have a big playground or fancy attractions, but it truly delivers where it counts. The area is open, safe, and completely free of traffic, which gives kids the freedom to run around, explore, and enjoy themselves without worry. As a parent, that peace of mind is priceless.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
