I love this trail. It's beautiful. It is short, but you have the option to make the loop more than once. It's full of birds and butterflies. Lots of greenery and lovely views. There are benches along the way as well if you need a break.
Hooksett's newest trail system along the Merrimack River. Over 1.5 miles of trail to Allenstown, connecting with another 1/2-mile of trail. Parking provided at Hooksett Dog Park. Flat terraine, beautiful site, and easy walking for all abilities. Carry in, carry out. Monarch Waystation.
I like this trail a lot. Big parking lot, a small beach for dogs to cool off, and wide trails throughout most of it. Springtime is beautiful with all the wild flowers and butterflies. There are long stretches of unshaded areas, so really hot days are kind of tough.
This is the best trail in my new area! The entrance is past the courthouse and the dog park. I definitely recommend checking it out for a gentle walk, history about the area at junctions in the trail. I like going here a little before sunset especially, for the magical views of the clouds with pinks and blues.
