Confirmed from Martindale Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

The trail is well taken care of and it’s a good mix of sunshine and shade for walking and cycling.

Nice sound from the creek and other Brooks. Good walk to winery. Not too hilly. Saw some wildlife.

★★★★★ — Robert , Mar 2024

A great place for family gatherings and outings. There are large and wide fields and also a bike trail close by which is convenient and great for people that want to go on a lengthy bike ride.

★★★★☆ — Pach , Oct 2022

This is a quaint little park with a small playground. It features two covered picnic areas and a decent sized grassy field. A bike path crosses through the park, across a bridge over a steam, and onwards towards a North Canton park.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 4 mentions

“They have public restrooms and pavilions and places for the little ones to play.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
  • SurfacePaved — asphalt or concrete. Fast and predictable, runnable year-round, and fine with a stroller
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
