Confirmed from Horace B Garman Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Relaxed local park with walking trails as well as tennis and basketball courts.
What runners say about Horace B Garman Park
“Pretty peaceful place to take a walk.”
A walk in nature that is rare to find now days. Be careful on the bridge. It is a cool design but some of the nails are a bit loose. If the path was muddy the ups and downs of the curved pathways could be challenging. I so enjoyed Earth Day 2024 at Garman Park.
I've visited this park since I was a little child it has lots to offer. Including a extensive Forest Trail region which once served as a mountain bike trail. There's plenty of Pavilion space as well as baseball diamonds and Tennis Courts. I'd say is technically the third largest park in Decatur
Your Park maintenance crew, mowed a great walking trail around the forest or tree area. Each lap is approximately 1/2 mile. My lab and I enjoy it very much. Thank you
Lots of trails and places to explore playground and large grassy area too. At the end of a street so not much traffic other than residents and park people.
