Confirmed from Horseshoe Lake Recreation Complex's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

I love to go for walks here. I always see people walking their dogs, or a mom/dad teaching their kids to fish. People are friendly and courteous. It never feels crowded, so it's a very peaceful place, even in the busy summer season. Every season is beautiful here, and the park and restrooms are very clean.

Horseshoe Lake is a great time and fun no matter what time you go or whatever your going for. From the beautiful walking track that surrounds the amazing lake. You’ll notice as you walk around the entire park there is so much to offer.

★★★★★ — Tim , Oct 2022

Wonderful park and lake. Trails are very good from walking to biking. Easy parking

★★★★★ — Stefan , Feb 2022

Beautiful place. The best time is to visit during spring because the whole path is covered with beautiful blossoms. There is a kids' play area for up to 12 years old kids. Biking lanes and trails are there.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
